Position Summary/Description:

The Innovate Carolina Junction coworking space is designed for individuals and organizations seeking a professional, flexible, and well-managed workplace within a university-connected innovation environment. Its primary users include entrepreneurs, small business owners, remote workers, early-stage companies, project teams, and affiliated partners who value access to high-quality workspace, meeting areas, and a strong community of members. While the Junction contributes to the broader innovation mission of Innovate Carolina, the coworking function is centered on delivering an excellent member experience, maintaining a productive and welcoming workplace, supporting occupancy and revenue goals, and ensuring that the space operates as a high value coworking destination for those who choose to work there every day.
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Coworking Sales and Operations to drive revenue generation, through customer acquisition, retention, and growth management. This position is sales driven and extends into workspace management focused on customer and operational excellence.
The Senior Manager, Coworking Sales and Operations supervises the Community Manager and is ultimately accountable for the coworking budget, including profit-and-loss performance, revenue generation, occupancy, and operational sustainability. This role ensures that the Junction delivers a high-quality, professional, and mission-aligned experience for members, partners, and guests while supporting Innovate Carolina's broader goals for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic engagement.

Education and Experience:

Familiarity with facility operations, vendor management, reservations systems, Salesforce CRM platforms, billing systems, or coworking management tools. Experience supporting event rentals, shared-use space scheduling, or earned-revenue strategies within a dynamic community environment. Experience working in a university, nonprofit, innovation, or entrepreneurial setting.

Essential Skills:

Bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in coworking, membership-based operations, sales, hospitality, community management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience managing a coworking space, shared workspace, membership-based facility, innovation hub, or similar multi-tenant facility. Experience with budget management and accountability for financial performance, including revenue generation and expense oversight. Strong operational, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage members, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders effectively.
