Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies (APIAS) of Lingnan University is inviting applications for the position of Senior Project Officer/Project Officer to implement a Chinese medicine community education funded by the Chinese Medicine Development Fund. The duties and requirements of the position are as follows:
Responsibilities
- Implement Chinese medicine education activities in the community
- Co-ordinate workshops, talks and forums
- Liaise with schools and social services agencies
- Work with Chinese medicine practitioners to design training events and launch educational activities
- Conduct research to evaluate the impact of program activities
- Prepare reports and grant applications
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of APIAS
Requirements
- A good bachelor’s degree in social sciences
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and fluent Cantonese is essential
- Self-motivated and with an independent work attitude
- Good communication and project implementation skills
- Some experience in writing reports and conducting program evaluation
- Some experience in organising Chinese medicine education activities
- At least three years of experience in implementing community projects and writing reports for the position of Senior Project Officer
Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund. Appointment will normally be made on a contract basis for up to 12 months.
