ANNOUNCES VACANCY
For the appointment to:
The vacant associate position of senior research and teaching assistant in Humanities, field of Philology, branch of Ugro-Finnic studies, at the Department of Hungarian and Turkish Studies, for a full-time, fixed-term position – 1 employee (m/f).
Along with a signed application, the applicants need to enclose:
- a signed CV (maximum 1 page long)
- a certificate from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) containing information on the applicant from their database; electronic employment record
- a copy of a certificate proving educational qualifications or the obtained academic title
- bibliography and offprints of articles pertinent to the appointment, and a detailed presentation of scientific, teaching, and professional activities
- a certificate confirming that the applicant’s diploma obtained abroad has been approved by the Croatian authorities
- proof of citizenship; foreign citizens need to enclose a certificate of proficiency in the Croatian language (advanced level)
The CV, bibliography, and information on scientific, teaching, and professional activities must be submitted electronically (on a USB flash drive).
Conditions:
Applicants (m/f) are expected to meet the requirements prescribed by the Science and Higher Education Act (as published in the Official Gazette, no. 119/22).
Advantages:
- having 5 years of teaching experience in the higher education system in the segment of Hungarian literature and culture
- possessing of research experience and a defended doctoral dissertation related to Hungarian literature and culture of the 18th and 19th centuries
- having an excellent command of the Hungarian language (at a level allowing him/her to deliver lectures)
- having delivered at least three presentations at international academic conferences on Hungarian studies
- having gained fundamental experience in developing a university curriculum for Hungarian studies
In applying for the vacancy, the applicants are in outmost accordance with collecting, using and further processing the data for vacancy filling purposes conducted by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, as the head of personal data collection and as prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette, no. 106/12) and the General EU Directives 2016/679.
