Remuneration: $168,578 to $194,406 pa (LEVC) (inclusive of $142,451 to $164,275 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Open to: Current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. In support of our strategic priority of Indigenous Australian success, Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people who are not QUT staff are also eligible and encouraged to apply. Please note that current staff wishing to be considered for secondment to this position must seek prior approval from their supervisor before submitting an application.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Research Fellow - Digital Health to join School of Public Health and Social Work, Faculty of Health.

The appointee will work on a suite of academic and clinical research projects and research consultancies focusing on innovation, implementation, and evaluation within health services, often in collaboration with health service partners. The appointee will work with other AusHSI researchers on a program of research which focuses on embracing digital disruption using intelligent decision supports for more responsive care, better patient outcomes, and greater efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive implementation science skills in the field of digital health and be experienced in research undertaken in an applied healthcare setting.

What you need to succeed

  1. Completion of a doctoral qualification in health services research or a closely related field (e.g. health economics, implementation science epidemiology, public health, nursing, psychology).
  2. Experience in researching, evaluating or supporting the implementation of complex interventions, and complex systems change, including strong abilities in mixed methods or qualitative research.
  3. Demonstrated experience in qualitative or mixed methods data collection and management in the context of applied digital health research
  4. Demonstrated experience developing research proposals and writing/leading reports, conference papers and peer-reviewed articles.
  5. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage a range of stakeholder relationships.
