Responsibilities
- Serve as the University’s primary liaison and system administrator for JIJIS
- Oversee job and employer information in the JIJIS and the University’s job platform database, conduct spot checks for irregularities on the job platforms, and report findings for necessary corrective actions
- Act as the Secretary at JIJIS joint meetings
- Manage student/graduate databases, including mass list collection from participating institutions
- Handle enquiries from employers, students, media, and other stakeholders
- Prepare the JIJIS Annual Progress Report, and manage budget and finance for all JIJIS-related expenditures
- Support in planning and delivering workshops, recruitment talks, mock interviews, and job fairs with the Career Advising Team
- Maintain and enhance career databases, including employer contacts, graduate employment records and internships, for accuracy and reporting
- Ensure proper implementation of and adherence to the established JIJIS policies, data privacy guidelines, employer code of conduct, and database access protocols in line with university rules and data protection laws of Hong Kong, China
- Promote JIJIS and career services across faculties via newsletters, social media, class talks, and peer ambassador schemes
Requirements
- A good bachelor’s degree and preferably a higher degree
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in student affairs, career services, database management, or system administration within higher education
- Solid IT knowledge and hands-on experience in database management, including data validation, spot-checking, and maintaining data integrity on online job platforms
- Strong data analysis skills and proven experience in data report writing (e.g., annual progress reports, usage analytics, and performance dashboards)
- An excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua
- Ability to handle enquiries from employers, students, and media professionally
- Ability to carry out duties independently
Candidates with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, and gratuity. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years.
