Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related simulation lab experience OR demonstrated strong technical IT proficiency.
- Technical knowledge of computer operations, basic network configuration, and foundational programming concepts.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Apple/macOS systems.
- Ability to work with schedules, calendars, and email systems effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain simulation equipment, AV systems, and related technologies.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science degree in a health or technology accredited field.
- IT Certified or advanced IT knowledge.
- More than two (2) years of experience in clinical simulation operations.
- Experience supporting high-fidelity simulators (Laerdal, Gaumard).
- CHSOS or equivalent certification.
Job Description
The Simulation Lab Information Specialist is responsible for the technical operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of high-fidelity medical simulators, audiovisual capture systems, and supporting IT infrastructure within the Nursing Simulation Lab.
Job Duties
- Provides logistical support for simulated learning activities including set-up, tear-down, cleaning, equipment maintenance.
- Assists in operating, programming, and maintaining high-fidelity simulators and related technology.
- Maintains records on simulation software licensing and equipment usage.
- Makes recommendations on hardware and software purchases.
