POSITION
The Department of Sociology at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool.
We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas.
- Sociology 201 Social Media and Social Interaction
- Sociology 300 Social Work
- Sociology 305 Social Work Practice
- Sociology 308 Writing for Sociology
- Sociology 325 The American Drug Scene
- Sociology 345 Sociology of Communication
- Sociology 350 Social Relationships and Emotions
- Sociology 353 Sociology of Children & Youth
- Sociology 365 Law and Society
- Sociology 385 Family Violence
- Sociology 410 Theories of Social Behavior
- Sociology 411 Criminology
- Sociology 413 Juvenile Delinquency
- Sociology 415 Mass Incarceration

This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must have at least a Master's degree in Sociology or a related field
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
