Overview

The rapid advancements in today's technologies—such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Blockchain—have placed Software Engineering among the top professions of both today and the future.

Our department offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral Software Engineering programme from Atilim University with a qualified academic staff, continuing its educational and research activities.

The PhD programme at Atilim University is one of only two universities in Turkiye that offers doctoral-level education in this field.

Key Facts

In our department, while there is a comprehensive focus on the fundamental phases of software (such as analysis, design, development, and testing) and related methodologies, education is also provided in specialized areas such as Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Quality Assurance, Software Requirements Engineering, Software Design and Architecture, Software Project Management, Software Testing, and Model-Driven Software Development.

General requirements

Original copy or photocopy of the acceptance letter
Original passport and photocopy of the passport (Original passport shall be checked and returned to students)
4 Photographs
Original diplomas, transcripts and their certified translations into Turkish or English.
Recognition certificate, if available (The candidates who are accepted to graduate programmes must initially check with the Registrar's Office staff whether their undergraduate and master's degree diplomas have recognition approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). If not, the candidates must individually apply to YÖK to obtain their recognition certificates.
Original copy of the internationally recognized English Proficiency Certificates for the candidates accepted to programmes that require English language proficiency (To be certified by Atilim University School of Foreign Languages)

Non-residents: 7,759 AUD / year ≈ 5,500 USD / year

Living costs

Ankara, Turkey: 46-68 AUD / month. The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
