Duties & Responsibilities
To provide general diagnostic radiology imaging interpretation, including conventional radiographs, CT, US, MR, and fluoroscopy procedures with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. Participate in tumor boards, conferences and take call as a full-time Radiology faculty member. This position's responsibilities will be 70% (plus call) in the Department of Radiology and 30% with the Stravitz-Sanyal Liver Institute.
- Clinical Provide high quality imaging interpretations for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients of VCUHS. Responsibilities include conventional radiographs, CT, MR, US and fluoroscopy procedures.
- Teaching Provide training to medical students, residents & fellows who rotate through the Department of Radiology.
- Research Continue to promote professional relationships with Surgery, Gastroenterology, Urology, Radiation Oncology and other departments/divisions to foster interdisciplinary research.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Fellowship trained in MSK, Abdominal or Cardiothoracic imaging
- Candidate must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong clinical background in imaging.
