Provide support with course registration, class schedules, placement information, and course changes.Answer student questions regarding ESL courses, program requirements, policies, procedures, and available services.Assist students with placement exam, completing forms, applications, registration documents, and other required paperwork.Provide information about placement exam links, tuition, fees, payment deadlines, and other enrollment-related requirements.Assist students with obtaining parking permits, student identification cards, and other campus-related services.Direct students to appropriate campus departments and resources when additional assistance is needed.Maintain accurate student records and update information in college databases and student information systems.Monitor and respond to student inquiries in person, by phone, email, and other communication platforms such as social media platforms and formstack.Explain college policies and procedures clearly and assist students in resolving routine administrative issues.Provide information about ESL program services, activities, resources, and student support opportunities.Assist with orientations, registration events, workshops, and other ESL program activities.Communicate effectively with students from diverse cultural, educational, and linguistic backgrounds.Maintain confidentiality of student information and comply with applicable college policies and regulations.Collaborate with faculty, advisors, admissions, registration, international/student services, and other departments to support student success.Perform other related duties as assigned.Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.Minimum qualifications- Associates degree or equivalent; additional education or relevant coursework preferred.
- Experience providing customer service, student support, or working in an educational environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard office technology, email, databases, and Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in an ESL, higher education, community college, international student, or adult education environment.
- Experience assisting students with admissions, registration, enrollment, or student services.
- Fluency is Spanish
- Familiarity with student information systems and college registration processes.
- Knowledge of campus resources and services.
