Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
General Summary
We are seeking an ASHA CERTIFIED Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic patient care team in the intensive care and acute care settings at 300 Longwood!
Key Responsibilities
- Bedside assessment and intervention in the Pediatric Intensive Care Units and all hospital wide Acute Care Services focusing on AAC assessment and intervention, developmental care, and communication accessibility.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and consultation focused on communication enhancement, acute recovery, and AAC systems and strategies.
- Daily documentation and materials creation
- Family and provider collaboration, education, and training;
- Potential participation in unit rounds and specialty team meetings;
Minimum Requirements
Education and Certification
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Experience
- Experience in pediatric hospital based services
- Significant experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines in a fast-paced medical environment
- Strong independence, flexibility, clinical writing skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
