Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director or Rehab, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) communicates and collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to provide consistent quality care for inpatients. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the SLP accepts responsibility for patient care during evaluation and treatment of all speech therapy related conditions. The SLP works within the framework of the Speech and Hearing board of CA Practice Act and follows all department and hospital policies and procedures. He/She complies with all hospital standards and therapy related clinical practice guidelines while performing job duties and responsibilities

Required Qualifications:
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Possession of valid Speech Language Pathology License issued by the state of California
- Valid BLS Card for health care providers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Hospital experience
- MBS experience
- Certificate of Clinical Competence
