We are seeking a Sr. Employer Outreach Coordinator who will Coordinate programs for linking students with internship and career opportunities. Manage and expand external relationships through employer recruiting and retention activities.
The Sr. Employment Outreach Coordinator functions as the Operations Lead, coordinating the day-to-day operations of Peabody LAUNCHPad, translating the Director’s strategic priorities into effective programs, services, and organizational systems. The position serves as the office’s primary operational coordinator, ensuring continuity across staff, student employment, communications, assessment, and administrative functions while supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement relevant communications with external entities and students.
- Develop and implement community engagement programming.
- Contact and visit employers independently.
- Maintain data on outcomes and provide reports and analysis to leadership team.
- Serve as contact with students and alumni to direct them to resources.
- Arrange and coordinate employer related events.
- Assist with gathering and reviewing employer feedback.
- Assist with workshops and events
- Adhere to all guidelines for employer interactions.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
In addition to the duties described above
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of LAUNCHPad, including office administration, operational planning, purchasing, letters of agreement, honoraria, assessment, reporting, and organizational systems.
- Coordinate the work of professional staff and casual staff while overseeing student employees and interns, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, payroll coordination, and operational support.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational workflows, standard operating procedures, dashboards, documentation, and reporting systems that support organizational effectiveness and preserve institutional knowledge.
- Coordinate office-wide communications, annual planning cycles, grants reporting, and administrative support for workshops, events, employer engagement activities, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as the Director’s primary operational partner by coordinating implementation of strategic initiatives, monitoring organizational workload and capacity, and ensuring continuity during periods of organizational change.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- One year of related experience required.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex administrative operations involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and enterprise administrative systems.
- Experience with Slate, Qualtrics, Canvas, Handshake, and higher education student information systems.
- Experience developing operational workflows, assessment processes, and reporting systems within a higher education environment.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required to support student programming, workshops, special events, and employer engagement activities.

During the Influenza ("the flu") season, as a condition of employment, The Johns Hopkins Institutions require all employees who provide ongoing services to patients or work in patient care or clinical care areas to have an annual influenza vaccination or possess an approved medical or religious exception. Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of employment.
The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
