State Prog Admin Supervisor Sr - Director of the Center for Communication Sciences and Disorders (AA27065)
Job Description
This position provides comprehensive leadership and oversight for the Center for Communication Sciences and Disorders, including supervising clinical staff and students, coordinating clinical education, and managing daily center operations. The position develops community partnerships, leads marketing and outreach for clinical services, and supports innovative service-delivery models. It ensures compliance with accreditation, licensure, credentialing, and billing standards while managing budgets, grants, and faculty/student credentialing processes. The role also oversees and manages scheduling, electronic medical record systems, third-party billing, and numerous clinical programs and partnerships. Additionally, the role provides clinical supervision, coordinates student orientations, manages center documentation and certification hours, maintains program materials, and performs duties essential to supporting the university and department's mission/vision and community reputation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology
- Current Minnesota Department of Health license as Speech-Language Pathologist or eligible, American Speech-Language Hearing Certification of Clinical Competence and at least two years of experience in applied setting.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a minimum of nine months of practice experience post-certification by 8/3/2026 are required for this position.
- Experience in credentialing with insurers and third-party billing, electronic health records, and manage financial aspects of center operations
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively sufficient to develop and implement clinical service delivery, marketing materials and write proposals for contracts and grants to deliver them with an inclusive and equitable lens.
- Ability to plan, organize and administer multiple projects, set priorities, and schedule activities.
- Ability to work with little direct supervision, within general guidelines and State policies, in a flexible and adaptable manner, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to or willingness to learn how to foster relationships across marginalized communities to provide training that meets the needs of diverse mental health workforce and community.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in managing healthcare business affairs.
- Experience in working with university faculty and staff.
- Demonstrated experience in supervision and leading a team.

This position requires a valid, applicable driver's license, as well as a DVS records check with an acceptable rating. Employees must have an active, valid, and, applicable driver's license if they drive a vehicle on state business. This position requires a passing background check under Minnesota Statutes 299C.60 to 299C.64 - Minnesota Child Protection Background Check Act. It is expected that the employee maintains the ability to pass applicable background check throughout employment. It is the employee's responsibility to notify the supervisor no later than the beginning of your next shift of any charges, allegations, convictions that may impact their standing under the applicable background check.
