Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Drives State owned vans and fleet vehicles, providing safe and efficient transportation for the GT community to various drop-off locations on and off campus.
Job Duty 2 - Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including passengers with disabilities.
Job Duty 3 - Utilizes transit technology in following GPS directions and logging ridership details.
Job Duty 4 - Performs routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, refuels vehicles, drops off and transports vehicle to/from maintenance shop.
Job Duty 5 - Makes timely accident and incident reports.
Job Duty 6 - Performs courier duties and works with special events as needed.
Job Duty 7 - Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Must have and maintain a State of Georgia Class C or CDL drivers license.
The Stingerette driver position requires the following physical and mobility abilities: stepping up into and out of a vehicle multiple times in an hour; lift up to 25 lbs; open, close, or pull shut a vehicle door or sliding door; assist a passenger in a wheelchair or crutches getting into and out of a vehicle; provide assistance harnessing a wheelchair.

SKILLS
The Stingerette driver position requires operating a large passenger van with an exterior vehicle height of up to 9.25 ft, length up to 22 ft, and width up to 7 ft (excluding mirrors).

Pay Range $16.80/hr - $21.12/hr
