Storekeeper

Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Storekeeper for Dining Services.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Performs routine duties involving the receipt, storage and invoice of food supplies in accordance with standard policies and procedures, or specific instructions.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High school/vocational school education or equivalent plus approximately six months storekeeping experience.

Equipment Utilized:

• Operates platform truck, hand or electric truck, manual pallet jack, etc, to transport supplies.
• Uses scale to weigh items.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to tolerate prolong periods in a cold environment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Special Conditions:

• The work schedule for this position may require some weekends depending on the operational needs.
• Shift/Hours: TBD.
