The Education Support Team are looking for a Student Experience Officer to join the team and continue to improve the student experience of our students, from Undergraduate, Postgraduate (taught & research) to our online cohort of students.

About the role:
This role leads on a wide range of student experience activities in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). The role will support the Senior Student Experience Manager in delivering a programme of student engagement (e.g. improving communication within the Faculty) as well as curriculum development activities (e.g. student feedback); cohort/network-building activities (e.g. social events celebrating student achievements, guest lectures and welcome/induction activities); and student partnership initiatives. The role will also work collaboratively on broader strategic objectives (such as community building).
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
We operate a hybrid working policy. The successful candidate will work in our offices in Denmark Hill, for a minimum of two days per week. These days can vary, and also increase, based on operational need and events.
About you:
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level Degree or equivalent, or has relevant work experience within the Higher Education sector
- Demonstrable understanding of the current national situation in relation to higher education
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Experience of developing and implementing communications strategies using marketing, media, public relations or social media
- Experience of medium – large scale event planning, execution and review
- Experience in using a variety of communications channels, including e-communications and events bulletins, with proven ability to provide advice on most appropriate channels depending on context and user need
- Experience of motivating and engaging people, preferably students, in both a one-to-one and group setting, establishing meaningful and effective channels of communication
Desirable criteria
- Experience working interdisciplinary across teams in Higher Education
- Understanding of the UK higher education system
