Student Involvement Coordinator - Ambassadors & Events
Overview
Student Affairs at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for Student Involvement Coordinator - Ambassadors & Events! This individual develops, plans, coordinates, promotes, and performs student-focused services or programs within the Office of Student Involvement.
Responsibilities
- Advise and oversee select SGA students in coordinating SGA programs and events including but not limited to Hey Day, The Auburn Ring Program and its Ring Night events, the Organizational Seating Program including the distribution of shakers in the student section and occasional home football game support, and Better Relations Day.
- Lead the coordination of large-scale Involvement office events including but not limited to the Involvement Awards, Involvement Fairs, and a staff-run First 56 event, overseeing event planning, budgeting, coordination, execution, and assessment.
- Direct and advise the Involvement Ambassadors student organization in promoting Student Involvement through a variety of outreach efforts, helping all students connect to Involvement opportunities.
- Coordinate, schedule, and occasionally deliver Involvement presentations to help the staff and Involvement Ambassadors promote Student Involvement at events, academic classes, and other opportunities.
- Assist the Director of Student Involvement in coordinating Convocation for all first-year students.
- Develop and manage assessment reports, budget reports, and other information used to enhance the Student Involvement office and its reach and impact.
- Provide support to other Student Involvement staff as needed, and participate in regular staff meetings and trainings.
- Provide support to other Student Affairs initiatives and committees as needed.
Qualifications
Level I
Bachelor's degree
Level II
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in student affairs administration, student programming, orientation, or related field OR Master's degree
Level III
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in student affairs administration, student programming, orientation, or related field OR Master's degree plus 2 years of experience in student affairs administration, student programming, orientation, or related field
Desired Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in student affairs administration, student programming, orientation, or related field.
• Large-scale event coordination experience, preferably in a student-run higher education environment.
• Strong and engaging communication and presentation skills.
