As the campus grows, UF Jacksonville is developing a comprehensive operational infrastructure to support academic programs, student services, community-facing events, and the day-to-day activities that shape the campus experience. This role is central to that mission.
About the Position
This position will be located at 801 W. Bay Street in Jacksonville, FL. It is a full-time role with a normal work schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Flexibility is expected during peak periods.
Case Management and Student Support Services
- Facilitate student access to campus resources by serving as a central referral point, promoting student well-being, student engagement and minimizing barriers to academic persistence and success.
- Provide non-clinical support services to students on a variety of complex concerns including but not limited to: intake/assessment, coordination of referrals to appropriate campus and community resources, and timely follow-up; conduct outreach to students of concern as needed.
- Respond to student crises by providing immediate support, risk assessment, and coordination of appropriate interventions. Participate in on-call or after-hours crisis response as required.
- Develop and implement individualized student success plans in consultation with appropriate offices; monitor progress and provide ongoing case management through follow-up appointments and communications.
Accessible Testing and Academic Accommodations Services
- Facilitate an interactive review process with students to determine and support accommodation needs including but not limited to: intake appointments, the evaluation of medical and/or psychological documentation, application to academic environments and prepare accommodation notifications.
- Oversee the review, scheduling, coordination and administration for accommodated tests; follow procedures for secure handling of exams and document processes as required.
- Coordinate reasonable accommodations in collaboration with students, faculty, and Disability Resource Center staff.
- Maintain appropriate records updating student files in databases and thoroughly document student activities and support.
- Ensure compliance in the delivery of accessibility services with federal, state, and University regulations, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and institutional policies.
- Serve as a resource providing guidance on accessibility practices, interpreting accommodation requirements, and ensuring effective implementation of approved academic accommodations
Student Experience, Engagement and Campus Life
- Design, implement, and assess student engagement initiatives that foster community, belonging, and student success.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events, programs, and campus activities aligned with student needs and institutional priorities.
- Collaborate with campus and community partners to enhance co-curricular opportunities and student involvement.
- Evaluate program effectiveness using assessment tools and student feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- Manage logistics for events including scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, marketing, and on-site execution.
Student Conduct Management
- Coordinate case management for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution processes which includes but is not limited to: evaluating submitted documentation, updating records, running reports, sending correspondence related to case status, and placing holds on student accounts.
- Make charging recommendations on conduct reports, create and manage records within the student conduct database, create and send correspondence, and coordinate/schedule administrative meetings.
- Adjudicate individual student cases when appropriate via administrative hearings and administrative reviews or refer to other conflict resolution processes as appropriate.
- Manage records to ensure compliance with institutional policies, local/state/federal law, and reporting requirements; provides responsive information related to Florida Open Records requests
- Serve as a liaison to collaborate with law enforcement or attorneys for the purpose of investigation, providing/receiving information, or reviewing complaints as directed
General Administrative Support
- Advise on budget requests for area and allocate resources to support departmental priorities
- Assist in the development, implementation, dissemination, and enforcement of unit/departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, and compliance within areas of responsibility.
- Develop reports and contributes to institutional data-drive decision-making
- Develop systematic approaches to enhance business processes and operations to align with strategic goals and objectives
- Ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and promotes consistency across processes (e.g. HIPAA, FERPA, ADAAA)
- Complete regular records maintenance to ensure compliance with institutional policies, relevant laws, and mandated reporting
- Coordinate equipment inventory such as scheduling use of equipment, implement inventory control systems, manage assets, research products and gather quotes as needed; create recommendations budget for replacement
- Serve as a Campus Security Authority
