Develop, implement, and monitor individualized student success plans, conducting regular outreach and adjusting intervention strategies to address students’ evolving academic, personal, financial, and wellness needs.

Serve as an active member of the CARE Team by managing assigned student cases, coordinating interventions, connecting students with campus and community resources, and monitoring progress toward established goals.

Design, facilitate, and assess workshops, outreach initiatives, orientation programs, and other educational experiences that support student success, resilience, belonging, and successful transition to Hollins.

Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to identify at-risk students, coordinate support services, and implement proactive retention and student success initiatives.

Maintain accurate, timely, and objective documentation of student interactions, case activity, referrals, and action plans in Athena and Maxient, ensuring compliance with university policies and best practices.

Prepare reports, analyze student success data, and contribute to institutional assessment, continuous improvement, and retention efforts.

Position Qualifications

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of two years of experience in student services, academic support, higher education, or related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, detail, and accuracy skills
• Demonstrated success working effectively with students
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with faculty and staff
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information and maintain discretion
• Deep understanding of and commitment to working in and fostering a pluralistic environment
• Demonstrated commitment to student success and advocacy for student needs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred candidates will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to social work, counseling, or higher education
• Familiarity with liberal arts curriculum and single-sex, small, residential campuses
• Knowledge of FERPA and other regulations related to student information
