What you'll do
Student Success Officers are integral to UniSQ’s student-centred approach and work directly with students at pivotal moments in their academic journey. In this role, you’ll build meaningful connections, provide personalised guidance, and help students navigate challenges with confidence. Every day brings the opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone’s life. In this dynamic, student-facing role, you will:
- Deliver proactive outreach and respond to inbound referrals using phone, video conferencing, email, SMS, and face-to-face interactions.
- Provide inclusive, developmental, trauma-informed and student-centred advising tailored to individual needs.
- Support students with transition, study skills, academic progression, academic integrity, and navigating university systems.
- Record and manage student interactions, using data to identify trends and support continuous improvement in student success practices.
What will help you succeed
You are required to hold a Diploma qualification or higher, or have equivalent relevant experience in a tertiary student support environment.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Strong communication skills and enjoy working with diverse student cohorts
- Capability to interpret policies, procedures and administrative processes
- Strong organisation skills, where you are able to adapt to a changing environment with competing priorities
- Hold, or are willing to apply for, a Blue Card.

Salary: Total remuneration range $94,129 to $106,754 pa (includes salary range of $79,383 to $90,031 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
