Summer Assistant Educator
The Williams College Children's Center is hiring temporary assistant educators for Summer 2026!

We guide and nurture children from age six weeks to five years old. All of our children and teachers enjoy time in nature as well as time in our classrooms. As teachers and educators, we are always encouraging the children to be critical thinkers and natural explorers! Come join our team!
Summer Assistant Educators work 40 hours a week in classrooms, on a rotating-basis where needed, to support the nurturing care of children, curriculum, developmentally appropriate practice, child guidance and relationships with and amongst the children. They are essential members of every classroom team. While expected to provide support and coverage for multiple classrooms, they are also members of the collaborative team and offer ideas and contributions to team planning and practice when appropriate.
The Williams College Children's Center is a warm and inviting program with state of the art facilities developed expressly for early childhood education. Summer Assistant Educators are expected to fully participate in the positive sense of community that is the Williams College Children's Center.
This opportunity offers up to 40 weekly hours for the months of June, July and August, starting June 1, 2026 and ending August 21, 2026.
- Summer Hours for July and August are 8:00 - 4:30PM
- If available in June operating hours are 8:00- 5:30PM
This position pays $19.00 per hour.
This is a temporary, non-benefitted job. This job is eligible for all legally mandated benefits, including Massachusetts paid sick leave and paid family and medical leave. Temporary employment does not guarantee future full-time employment at Williams College.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or course work in a related field.
- Successful background records check, including fingerprinting
- Proof of immunity to MMR
- Health physical within the last 12 months.
