Summer Research Assistant (Student)
Summary
The Research Assistant student position will work closely with a professor to contribute to research activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education and research. They must possess specific experience in the area of high-resolution remote sensing analysis.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the professor on ongoing research projects.
- Conduct literature reviews and assist in data collection and analysis.
- Build code and methods for high-resolution phenological analysis of urban trees throughout the United States.
- Contribute to the preparation of research publications and presentations.
- Assist in organizing field work, as needed.
- Open source analysis using R and ArcGIS Pro.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Part-time. 20 hours per week.
Salary Range
$19.50 per hour.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
The start and end dates are May 12th - August 30th.
