Supervisor/UCDD (UEC)
Position Summary
Temporary, Staff, Part Time, Non-Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $28.55 per hour.
Location: CSUSB Campus. UCDD and/or the Watson College of Education (WCOE) on campus sites.
Work Schedule
Up to 19 hours per week. Typically, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 5:30PM-9:00PM, Wednesdays: 3:30PM-7:00PM, and 5:30PM-9:00PM, and/or Saturdays 8:30AM-12:00PM. Scheduled based on program need.
Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the UCDD Director, the Supervisor will work independently to:
- Supervises ABA sessions between BTAs and children / young adults with developmental disabilities
- Utilizes ABA software to develop appropriate programing, treatment and interventions that reflect the program goals of UCDD's clients.
- Conducts direct observations and provides feedback and coaching.
- Monitors the delivery of services and treatment techniques and ensures that BTAs adhere to appropriate intervention plans.
- Provides appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary for the safety of staff members.
- Reviews client reports, session notes and other session documentation.
- Provides training to new/existing staff members and interns.
- Provides daily pep talks at the end of each session.
- Addresses performance concerns and participates in the delivery of counseling memos.
- Evaluates staff members and interns per request.
- Communicates with parents/guardians regarding their children's goals and progress.
- Participates in Supervisors' meetings and Full Staff Trainings.
- Keeps attendance of staff members and ensures that they use their time appropriately, including the use of breaks.
- Ensures that staff members follow the center's policies and procedures.
- Has the ability to improvise and make decisions based on last minute changes.
- Ensures the appropriate use of safety measures in case of an emergency.
- Delegates duties to BTAs and interns and is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff members and clients.
- Gives tours of the facility to potential employees and families.
- Must adhere to HIPAA laws to appropriately handle clients' private information.
- Conducts interviews to collect data from parents
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: BA or BS in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field, or RBT certification.
- Experience: Must have experience working with children and/or young adults with developmental disabilities. Must have experience delivering behavior services to children with developmental disabilities. Must have experience in a supervision role.
- Other: Must be computer literate; general knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have strong knowledge and understanding of behavior modification techniques. Must work effectively in a positive environment with other professionals.
- Special Requirements: Must have strong knowledge of behavior health such as ABA, and/or discrete trial training. Candidate needs to be Mandated Reporters certified and must possess a current CPR certificate. Candidates must undergo background check and will be fingerprinted. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and fingerprint clearance.
