Teaching Assistant Professor - Psychology
Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
The Department of Psychology, within the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is seeking a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor with a Ph.D. in Psychology (Open Specialty). The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for high quality, student-centered instruction in undergraduate psychology courses. Depending on departmental needs and the candidate’s expertise, the faculty member may also teach selected graduate level courses in the MS in Health Psychology and the PhD in Applied Psychology.
Faculty in this role are expected to make strong contributions to teaching excellence, student advising and mentoring, curriculum development, and program assessment, and to participate in service activities at the department, college, and university levels.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related Psychology sub-discipline at the time of appointment.
