CFI is a highly interdisciplinary research centre addressing the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term. CFI is based at the University of Cambridge, with partners in Imperial College London, and UC Berkeley, and close links with industry and policymakers. The Role
The role holder will primarily support the MSt in AI Ethics and Society, while maintaining the University's national and international reputation for excellence. The postholder will work closely with CFI's education team to deliver teaching of the Centre's postgraduate programmes. This will involve, for example, contributing to dissertation supervision, leading online discussion, delivering teaching at in-person residential weeks, producing materials, taking part in open days, marking and contributing to the overall student experience.
Interested applicants should have some experience of successfully developing and delivering teaching at university level, including both lectures and seminars or smaller group work. Candidates should have a PhD in an area relevant to the social and/or ethical study of AI, data and related technologies and have previous experience of working in Higher Education.

This appointment is part-time (80%FTE) from 1 September 2026 or soon after.
