This is a temporary full-time non-bargaining faculty position and is not on track for continuing contract. The standard contract length is 228 days and is located on the Altamonte Springs campus .
Responsibilities include providing effective leadership in developing, conducting, and ongoing assessment of the clinical education component of the Respiratory Care program. Collaborates with the program manager in the organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of the entire Respiratory Care program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plans, organizes, and teaches didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses in Respiratory Care as assigned, including syllabi, course objectives, evaluations, and grade reports in compliance with SSC master course syllabi.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in a health-related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of four years’ experience with at least two years in clinical respiratory care.
- State of Florida RRT license for providing respiratory services, or, if from out-of-state, must be eligible for Florida license and procured prior to hiring.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.
- Current CPR certification.
- Clinical sites may require additional requirements.
- Complete the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program within six months of beginning the DCE role.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Works in a classroom/office environment.
- May be required to travel between campuses and other local destinations.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
