Job Duties
The Department of Biology seeks a fixed-term faculty position (9-month appointment) at the Teaching Instructor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, or Teaching Professor level with expertise in teaching Anatomy and Physiology using evidence-based teaching practices to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will teach primarily Human Anatomy and Physiology including sections for intended nursing majors, and may include introductory biology. Other duties may include oversight of laboratories. The position includes the possibility of subsequent renewals and advancement in title. The successful applicant will contribute to the instruction of the equivalent of four courses during each of the fall and spring semesters.
Minimum Education/Experience
- For Teaching Instructor: Master’s degree in Biology or closely related field
- For Teaching Assistant Professor: PhD in Biology or closely related field such as Physiology or Anatomy
- For Teaching Associate Professor: PhD and at least three years teaching experience in university environment (face-to-face and online)
- For Teaching Professor: PhD and at least six years teaching experience in university environment (face-to-face and online)
Experience teaching Human Anatomy & Physiology required.
