Salary Range: Commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary

The Team Operations Coordinator provides organization, management, and administration for UTSA athletic team.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates and implements the administration, management, and execution of strategies in support of the goals and objectives of the athletics program.
  2. Responsible for the team film exchange program. Provides necessary coordination with sharing teams, ensures essential game films are sent and received in a timely manner per existing agreements. Oversees technology needs - makes recommendations for equipment repairs, upgrades, enhancements. Alerts head coach to any issues.
  3. Works closely with coaches and athletic department personnel to ensure compliance paperwork is appropriately completed, submitted.
  4. Coordinates ticket requests and distribution with the Ticket Office.
  5. Organizes team community activities and programs. Makes recommendations to coaches for new team events, and specific details of planned events.
  6. Serves as primary liaison to the marketing department for home game activities.
  7. Assists with recruiting mail-outs.
  8. Responsible for team travel arrangements and meals. Ensures travel arrangements are optimally structured to provide efficient team management, while conforming to University/NCAA guidelines.
  9. Gathers and reviews information on academic and athletic development of student athletes.
  10. Assists with the organization and delivery of summer camps and special programs.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • One (1) year of related work experience.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions

Office Environment. Frequent evening and weekend hours required. Position travels with the athletic team.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary; if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasional.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.

This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
