The Opportunity
UniSC’s Information Technology team is central to enabling the University’s growth, innovation and digital transformation. As a trusted partner to academic, research and operational areas, IT delivers secure, reliable and forward-thinking technology services that support a modern, future-focused university.
As a Technical Support Associate, you will provide responsive, high-quality tier 1 IT support to UniSC staff and students across a broad range of technology services. Working within our Client Support team, you will resolve incidents and service requests, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play an important role in delivering an outstanding technology experience across the University.

You will
- deliver multi-channel tier 1 IT support, resolving incidents and service requests while providing an excellent customer experience;
- maintain accurate records and contribute to knowledge management, documentation and continuous service improvement activities; and
- collaborate with colleagues across IT to support teaching, learning and business operations through reliable and responsive technology services.
About you
You are a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving problems and helping others get the most from technology. With strong communication and organisational skills, you can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and build positive relationships with people of varying levels of technical knowledge. You are proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering service excellence.
You will possess:
- a relevant degree and subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of technical support and customer service experience and training;
- demonstrated experience providing responsive customer service and technical support to a diverse client group;
- strong organisational and communication skills, including the ability to document activities and manage competing priorities;
- knowledge of IT service management principles, including IT Service Desk operations and ITIL practices;
- demonstrated troubleshooting skills across technologies including Microsoft 365, Windows environments and end-user applications; and
- working knowledge of networking concepts and modern collaboration technologies, including videoconferencing and remote support tools.
