Temp Faculty (NonCredit): Pharmacy Technician Instructor (2026-2027)

The Workforce and Economic Development Division (W.E.D.) of Metropolitan Community College is the leader in innovative workforce solutions and community enrichment.
Temporary faculty serve the college and students by providing high quality instruction and engaging in instruction related activities. Temporary faculty are expected to perform all duties associated with teaching an assigned course to include all course preparation, meeting with students, entering grades, and other duties related to course delivery.
Essential Functions
- Teach curriculum that aligns with national Pharmacy Technician certification requirements.
- Prepare students for employment in retail, and community pharmacy settings.
- Instruct students in accurate collection, documentation, and management of patient information.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that support student learning and certification readiness.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, professionalism, and success in the pharmacy field.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Must be certified as a pharmacy technician or pharmacist and registered in the state of Missouri and/or Kansas. Two (2) years related pharmacy technician experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience for ICPT or PTCB examination. Proficient in instructional technology (PowerPoint, MS Word, Canvas)
