Position Summary

Individual will assist with preparation of media for isolation of plant pathogens, preparation of basic solutions and reagents or materials for lab assays, autoclaving glassware/other supplies, and lab organization/cleaning. Individual will assist with basic lab protocols as requested.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of media, amended media, basic solutions, reagents as established by lab protocols (30%)
• Assist with cleaning and sterilization/autoclaving of pipette tips, glassware, beads, and other supplies as requested (30%)
• Assist with labeling and organization/cleaning of lab (20%)
• Assist with basic lab procedures/protocols (20%)

Qualifications

High school diploma

Physical Demands

Driving, standing, lifting, enduring outside elements for extended period of time.
