Job Description
- Closely supervise and train students to observe proper radiography procedure with regards to patient care, radiography technique, infection control, scanning protocol and documentation.
- Apply appropriate radiographic projections and position patients to produce images with optimal diagnostic quality consistently.
- Work in conjunction with academic staff to conduct practical sessions on intraoral and extra oral radiography.
- Conduct pre-clinical and clinical competency tests
- Arrange and conduct remedial lessons for students who fail clinical competency tests. Retest after remedial.
- To supervise students on pre-clinical Endodontics radiography work process.
- Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of Oral Radiology Module
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography (AHPC registered), OR Diploma in Oral Health Therapy (SDC registered Part 1 or Part 2 with 1 clinical practice)
Years of Qualification: At least 3 years of working experience as a diagnostic radiographer or Oral Health Therapist
Knowledge and Skills :
- Competent radiography skills, , and ability to evaluate the quality of images
- Understand the necessity of the radiological examination to identify crucial information relevant to the case
- Technology literacy and able to abreast with new development
- Working knowledge on radiologic sciences with regards to radiation protection and patient care
- Fast learner
- Ability to work in stressful environment
- A responsible attitude with good teamwork skills
- A passion to teach
