Brief Summary of Work for this Position:

The School of Nursing, located within the College of Health and Human Services, is seeking temporary/part time faculty, for clinical teaching in the prelicensure nursing program to create a pool for advance and short-notice teaching assignments based on program demand for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

Courses may include:

• Foundations
• Adult Health
• Maternal-Infant
• Community
• Mental Health
• Capstone (senior clinical preceptor experience)

The 2025-2026 Academic Year includes the following semesters:

• Fall 2025
• Spring 2026
• Summer 2026

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Undergraduate course teaching: Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited institution.

Graduate course teaching: Terminal degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.

Those with equivalent verifiable professional experience, certifications, and licensures in the discipline may also be considered.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Prelicensure or graduate teaching experience preferred

Required Certifications or Licensure:

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) faculty must have an active North Carolina NP license and board certification
• Prelicensure nursing faculty must have a North Carolina RN license

Prior to the official appointment to the university, the candidate(s) selected for hire must be able to demonstrate eligibility to teach assigned courses by successfully meeting the credentialing requirements based on official transcripts and other documentation as required.
