Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve food at the dining hall
- Set up serving lines and prepare individual trays
- Interact with customers from young children to adults
Percentage of time: 35
- Cleaning and sanitizing the work area
- Operate a commercial dishwasher
- Clean chairs, tables, and service lines
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean windows, baseboards, blinds; walkways and walls of food service building
Percentage of time: 35
- Assist cooks in preparing and cooking food
- Assist with preparation of menu items
Percentage of time: 20
Other tasks as assigned. Percentage of time: 10
Position Summary
Work involves routine food preparation, food service and cleaning the food service and eating areas. Employees work under direct supervision while involved in the preparation, serving and cleaning. This position reports to the 4-H Dining Commons Manager.
