Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee(s) will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “Chinese Anthropocene Science Fiction as a Contact Zone” (Project No. R6678). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Supporting various research activities, including library searches, text and material acquisition, identifying key examples, data collection, and categorization
- Preparing presentation materials for conferences;
- Disseminating research findings through academic publications; and
- Performing other tasks related to the project.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A good recognized master or above, preferably in the field of modern or contemporary Chinese literature, comparative literature, cultural studies, or a related discipline;
- Competent at computer skills and software (e.g. MS Office using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Databases);
- Self-motivated and meticulous, and be able to meet deadlines and work independently; and
- An excellent command of English and Chinese.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract starting from August 2026 to November 2026. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
