Job Summary

The Temporary Research Support assists in research work in support of a major research project which may include duties such as gathering, tracking and entering data, preparing support material, etc.

The Fuels and Combustion Department at The University of Alabama is seeking a candidate for a Temporary Research Assistant. This position works alongside a faculty member on turbine engine combustion laboratory and associated equipment.

Required Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and some experience related to the responsibilities of the assignment(s). Experimental combustion research work experience required.

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to work on a personal computer including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to follow directions and perform laboratory tasks under direct supervision of a faculty mentor.

Preferred Qualifications

Experimental combustion research work experience required. Prior experience with gas turbine engines, sensors, and minor programming.
