Description
The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of psychiatric genetics, animal models, mitochondrial proteins and neurodevelopment. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical instruction of residents, medical and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include serving as an attending psychiatrist in outpatient services.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include conducting research in translational neuroscience relevant to neurodevelopment, publishing in top journals, and successfully competing for extramural funding to fund research.
