Tenure-track Faculty Opportunities in Immunology Research
The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein) and the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center (MECCC) invite applications from outstanding candidates with expertise in immunology-focused basic and translational research. Areas of particular interest include tumor immunology, cancer immunotherapeutics, immune metabolism, human immunology and cancer vaccine design. Einstein is a world-renowned research-intensive medical school with outstanding research faculty and an exceptionally collegial and collaborative environment. The Montefiore medical system serves a large and diverse catchment area providing extensive resources for clinical and translational cancer research. MECCC is an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center and is one of the oldest NCI funded cancer centers in the U.S. Candidates with basic or translational immunology research interests will be considered for tenure-track positions (Assistant and Associate Professor levels) with primary appointment in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, https://www.einsteinmed.edu/departments/microbiology-immunology/, which hosts a growing faculty with broad interest and expertise in basic immunology and related disease mechanisms, with strong emphasis on cancer and immunotherapeutics. Highly competitive start-up packages and salary commensurate with experience ($130-160K) with extensive benefits will be provided together with potential opportunities for joint appointments in clinical departments if desired.
Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and a track record of research excellence. Applicants for Associate Professor level positions should have a record of successful grant funding.
