Teaching responsibilities may include teaching students, residents, and/or fellows while engaged in clinical activities and/or serving as lecturer for divisional and/or school educational programs.
Clinical responsibilities may include working in the outpatient clinics and as an attending on the inpatient service within the hospitals at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and/or Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMC VAMC).
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include any aspect of basic science, clinical, translational, health policy, or health services research. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations, and/or industry.
There will be an expectation of the ability of the candidate to serve in management and/or leadership roles. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Selected applicants will hold an academic appointment in the Department of Medicine within the division of his/her specialty.
