Tenure-Track Faculty Position The Department of Genetics

The Department of Genetics at Yale University School of Medicine is looking to appoint an outstanding investigator, mentor and colleague at the junior (i.e., Assistant Professor) tenure-track faculty level. The appointment will be commensurate with experience and the position will come with a substantial start-up package.

About Us: The overarching goal of the Department of Genetics is to discover new biology driven by genetics that improves human health through translational science and clinical care. The department specializes in basic and clinical research in areas spanning developmental biology, chromatin and epigenetics, tissue patterning and morphogenesis, stem cells and regeneration, genetic mechanisms of disease, human genetics and genomics, data science and computational biology, rare disease, genomic technologies, gene therapies and quantitative and systems biology. The department is one of 28 specialty departments at Yale School of Medicine and has access to state-of-the-art research equipment and infrastructure including the Yale Center for Genome Analysis, the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, the Yale Stem Cell Center, the Yale Center for Genomic Health and more. Members in the Department of Genetics can also work closely with the Yale New Haven Health System and Yale Ventures to further advance their translational research.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree.
