Expectations include maintaining a vigorous externally funded research program, providing exemplary mentorship, engaging in productive scientific collaborations, and contributing to the teaching mission of the department. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to recruitment and training of graduate students through our Medical Sciences Graduate Program. The successful candidate will benefit from collaborations and resources provided by multiple centers/institutes at Texas A&M University, including the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI), Center for Airborne Pathogen Research and Imaging (CAPRI), Clinical Science and Translational Research (CSTR) Institute, Institute of Pharmacology and Neurotherapeutics (IPN), Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IRM), as well as our one-of-a-kind Aerospace, Austere, and Military medicine and health initiative.
