Job Description: Video and Scenic Projections Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 AM-10:05 PM in the Spring semester. Additional design/mentorship opportunities may present themselves as needed.
Primary Purpose: Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline AND two years of professional experience OR Associate degree in any discipline AND six years of professional experience OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area. OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. Desirable Qualifications: Prior teaching experience within the topics of theatrical and event video and projections. Strong working knowledge and experience with QLab, projectors, edge blending, and Apple computers. Familiarity with show control and DMX peripherals. Software awareness of Disguise, Watchout, Green Hippo, or other media server platforms. Understanding of CTE program objectives with a robust background in theatrical video and projections work at a theme park or entertainment venue. LMS experience/training (Canvas). Detailed experience teaching technical theatre courses, especially introductory classes, with innovative teaching practices supporting success and retention of women, students of color and students with disabilities. Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and/or community leaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designed to assist historically underrepresented students achieve their educational goals.
Salary Range: $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lecture unit rate
