Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Mechanistic Interactions in Psychosis
Position Overview
The University of Ottawa is seeking applications for a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair (CRC) on the mechanistic interactions underlying psychosis. The successful candidate will hold a non-tenure-track clinical position in the Department of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, as well as at the Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR) at The Royal, with possible multiple appointments. The candidate will be a member of the Heart-Brain Interconnectome (ICC).
Qualifications
- MD or MD/PhD with a strong research record in a related field
- Excellent research record in CRC areas and evidence of interdisciplinary collaborations
- Commitment to teaching and graduate student training
- Strong ability to secure external research funding
- Ability to communicate effectively in English or French; bilingualism is an asset
Preferred Areas
Neuroimaging, computational psychiatry, artificial intelligence and machine learning, multimodal data integration, brain-heart interconnections, interoception, physiology-based models of psychosis, and translation into precise, personalized care approaches.
