Training Logistics Specialist (Part-Time)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Training Logistics Specialist will provide training support by serving as a mentor and coach to students and integrating classroom theory with field practice; serve as the link between the Department of Children and Family Services and the University; attend meetings, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with agency policies; recruit Title IV-E Scholars; assist with curriculum development; serve as a facilitator and standardized client; and perform additional job-related duties assigned by the Title IV-E Director of Training/Coordinator to meet project goals and objectives.
Required Job Competencies—Proficiency in the field of child welfare and family services: Intermediate - 10 years' experience; Advanced - 10 to 20 years of experience; Expert - 20 to 25+ years of experience.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor and coach students
- Integrate classroom theory with field practice
- Serve as the link between the Department of Children and Family Services and the University
- Attend meetings, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with agency policies
- Recruit Title IV-E Scholars
- Assist with curriculum development
- Serve as a facilitator and a standardized client
Additional Responsibilities
- Strong editing, proofreading, formatting, and computer skills.
- Ability to accurately prepare and process a variety of reports, correspondence, records, and documents.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to communicate professionally, tactfully, and with courtesy.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in solving problems that arise.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited college or university
- Ten (10+) or more years of experience
- Specific experience in child welfare
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited college or university
- Twenty (20+) or more years of experience
- Licensed Social Worker; Child Welfare first-line worker, supervisor, and/or manager
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Professional Business/Administrative Office
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to move all extremities without difficulty, move training tables on rollers, move equipment, and set up and arrange the training room.
