JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Training Logistics Specialist will provide training support by serving as a mentor and coach to students and integrating classroom theory with field practice; serve as the link between the Department of Children and Family Services and the University; attend meetings, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with agency policies; recruit Title IV-E Scholars; assist with curriculum development; serve as a facilitator and standardized client; and perform additional job-related duties…

assigned by the Title IV-E Director of Training/Coordinator to meet project goals and objectives.

Required Job Competencies—Proficiency in the field of child welfare and family services: Intermediate - 10 years' experience; Advanced - 10 to 20 years of experience; Expert - 20 to 25+ years of experience.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mentor and coach students
Integrate classroom theory with field practice
Serve as the link between the Department of Children and Family Services and the University
Attend meetings, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with agency policies
Recruit Title IV-E Scholars
Assist with curriculum development
Serve as a facilitator and a standardized client

Additional Responsibilities

Strong editing, proofreading, formatting, and computer skills.
Ability to accurately prepare and process a variety of reports, correspondence, records, and documents.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Ability to communicate professionally, tactfully, and with courtesy.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in solving problems that arise.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited college or university
Ten (10+) or more years of experience
Specific experience in child welfare

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited college or university
Twenty (20+) or more years of experience
Licensed Social Worker; Child Welfare first-line worker, supervisor, and/or manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Professional Business/Administrative Office

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to move all extremities without difficulty, move training tables on rollers, move equipment, and set up and arrange the training room.
