Job Details

Northwell Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Acute Care Surgeon with fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgery to join the Division of Acute Care Surgery at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Level I Trauma Center and growing academic surgery program. The successful candidate will become part of a highly collaborative team committed to excellence in trauma care, emergency general surgery, surgical critical care, education, and research.

Opportunity Highlights

ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center
Dedicated APP support model
Approximately 800 trauma and surgical admissions annually
Rotation through Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical ICU services
Join an established team of Acute Care Surgeons
Active involvement in one of Northwell's newest General Surgery Residency programs
Academic appointment through the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
Opportunity to contribute to continued growth and program development

South Shore University Hospital is a 341-bed tertiary care hospital and regional destination for advanced medical and surgical services. The Division of Acute Care Surgery oversees trauma services, emergency general surgery, and a dedicated Surgical Intensive Care Unit, providing physicians with a dynamic and rewarding clinical practice.
