Two (2) Year Contract Limited Term Appointment, Assistant Professor in Psychology

Position Status: Temporary; OPSEU Local 685

Department: School of Psychology

Location: Brampton, Ontario

Preferred Start Date: July 1, 2026, or as negotiated

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to candidates with a completed Ph.D. and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and research
• expertise in teaching any area of psychology
• demonstrated relevant academic background, research portfolio and a record of teaching excellence.
• experience with remote/online/hybrid instruction is desirable.

Expectations

• Preference will be given to those with experience teaching introduction to psychology and upper year undergraduate courses
• Supervision and advising of undergraduate students
• Participate in service to the university, such as student mentorship, research advising, and academic committees.
• Other duties and responsibilities as outlined in the OPSEU Local 685 Full-time faculty collective agreement.

Salary Scale: Assistant Professor $86,467 - $127,317
