UB/UBMS Classroom Facilitator
Job Description
This person will facilitate a non-credit course during our UB/UBMS six-week summer institute(s) for current UB/UBMS high school participants between 9th and 12th grade ranging in topics of math, science, civil rights, communications, financial literacy, foreign language, STEM, computer literacy, arts & humanities, etc.
UB/UBMS summer staff will provide leadership and direction, safe and supportive environments, comfort and protection to the students, parents, and staff of the UB/UBMS program. Essential to be respectful of staff, students, UT personnel, and UB/UBMS families. Refrain from participating in all illegal acts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be proficient in content area, at minimum, the high school level course equivalents.
- Experience working with high school youth.
- Positive, responsible, proactive, engaging, respective and mature role models.
- Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to provide leadership, work within team structures and direct student groups.
- Have strong communication skills (2-way communication is essential); think critically.
