UNC Academic Urogynecologist
Position Summary
The University of North Carolina Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, is seeking a fellowship-trained academic urogynecologist for a full-time, open rank position. This position is ideally suited to a junior to mid-level faculty member. This position will be clinically active and also have time devoted to research and education.
Clinical responsibilities will include the outpatient and surgical care of complex patients with pelvic floor disorders. Qualified applicants should have experience in the evaluation and management of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, genitourinary fistulae, bladder pain syndrome, mesh complications, obstructed defecation, and fecal incontinence.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- An MD degree (or equivalent) with completion of a 4-year ACGME accredited OB-GYN residency and a 3-year accredited fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery are required.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery are required.
- Excellent qualifications and letters of recommendation are required.
