University Assistant postdoctoral (Security & Privacy)

Your future position will be in the Security & Privacy research group at the Faculty of Computer Science. Researchers appreciate the internationality, the outstanding research projects, the interdisciplinary cooperation and the collegial exchange in our faculty.
Our current research focuses on Software Protection, Machine Learning/AI und Security und Security and Privacy of Decentralized Systems and Distributed Ledger Technologies. In the long term, we focus on understanding complex systems in order to recognise fundamental security and privacy problems and on researching and developing solutions that go beyond mere short-term problem solving.
Our team currently consists of 19 scientific and 2 administrative colleagues. We attach particular importance to relaxed and respectful cooperation, a collegial atmosphere and an independent way of working. Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You contribute to research projects and scientific studies in the areas of software protection and mobile security.
- You build an independent research profile in the areas of reverse engineering on mobile platforms, network security and code obfuscation and deobfuscation.
- You publish internationally and give lectures.
- You apply for projects and raise third-party funds.
- You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitation.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You supervise your students in courses on technical and organizational security aspects.
- You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
- You are involved in the organization of meetings, conferences and symposia.
- You will be involved in evaluation measures and quality assurance.
This is part of your personality:
Must-haves:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in Computer Science
- Outstanding dissertation
- Research competence and initiative proven through international publications in peer-relevant media
- Experience in research management
- Didactic skills / experience in e-learning
- Excellent knowledge of German and English
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- You work independently and reliably
- Interest in interdisciplinary topics
- Team player and high social/communicative skills

Fixed-term contract and fair salary: This is a 50% position with a fixed term of 6 years (until July 14, 2032). The basic salary of EUR 5,014.30 (on a full-time basis, 14 times a year) increases if we can credit professional experience.
